NEWLY engaged Rosanna Davison landed the dream job for a bride to be – spending an afternoon trying on wedding dresses.
The model and beauty, who said "yes" to boyfriend Wesley Quirke's proposal in Mauritius last month, was at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel Wedding Showcase in Killiney, Dublin, yesterday.
Any groom would have had a hard time choosing his perfect match from the bevy of beautiful "brides" who wore gowns from BellaDonna Galway.
The former Miss World looked stunning in the ruched and ruffled gown, with full skirt and bustier style top, set off with a beaded belt which showed off her tiny waist. Rosanna's hair was in an up-style and decorated with matching beading and a simple head-piece.
But could Rosanna's move away from the traditional white or cream to blush pink have been an indication that the bookies are right in believing she will walk up the aisle in red, in honour of her father Chris de Burgh?
Whatever her preference, she had plenty of styles to consider as fellow model Roz Lipsett wore a more formal Grecian style wedding gown and Roz Purcell wore a dress of pleated chiffon, with silver detail while Kristi Kuudisiim wore a ruched and ruffled wedding dress in white.
Recently Rosanna admitted she had been picking the brains of fellow model and mum-to-be Pippa O'Connor (28) for wedding ideas after she and hubby Brian Ormond (32) featured in an RTE documentary about their big day.
And she has also said that she hopes to split her wedding celebrations between Ireland and an overseas location.
