Time off in Dublin and waking up with his kids in a swanky city centre hotel, that's what's in store for Boyzone's Ronan Keating this Christmas.

The Diary bumped into the father of three and his girlfriend, TV producer Storm Uechtritz, at Keith Duffy's annual Masquerade Ball last weekend.

After posing for snap-happy photographers with his stunning other half, who looked sensational in a blue Victoria Beckham frock, Ronan filled me in on his plans for the festive season.

While the Keatings traditionally flocked to the K Club for the holidays, this year Ronan and ex-wife Yvonne will separately enjoy Santa Claus with their kids.

"It'll be a quiet one this year, just Storm and I with the kids, but we're really looking forward to it," he said.

Ronan and Storm will celebrate with Jack, Missy and Ali in the morning, while Yvonne and partner John Conroy will mark the day with them later in the afternoon.

The singer jetted back from the UK for pal Keith's swanky affair, and the black-tie dinner, held in the Powerscourt Hotel in Co Wicklow, saw the glitterati turn out in force.

With friends flying in from all over the world and dinner at €200 a plate, a fair whack was raised for Keith's charity, Irish Autism Action.

"Demand was huge this year, we could've sold another 30 tables at least," Keith informed me, after admitting to feeling the nerves.

After a quick tipple in the hotel residents bar, the famous and the fabulous were greeted at the door by the host himself and his wife Lisa, who had a white winter wonderland in mind when she chose her dress from Cari's Closet.

Caroline Downey came with Penny Dix. Imelda May, who performed on the evening, was last to arrive and was accompanied by her parents Madge and Tony Clabby.
