Rihanna courts even more controversy appearing topless on her new album cover
AFTER stepping out with Chris Brown last week, Rihanna continues to court controversy by appearing topless on the cover of her new album.
The Barbados-born singer took to Twitter to tell fans her new album is called ‘Unapologetic’ and tweeted the cover ahead of its release next month.
"I'm going to tweet the OFFICIAL title of the ALBUM soon!!!" she wrote.
"My NEW album "UNAPOLOGETIC" will be released on NOVEMBER 19th WORLDWIDE (sic)."
The cover shows Rihanna topless with one arm behind her head and the other reaching to her neck.
She has cropped dark hair and is gazing into the camera with full, dark red lips.
Words are scrawled all over her body, among them love, faith, fun, fearless, happy and censored. It's rumoured they are the title of songs on the record.
The sprawling goddess tattoo Rihanna had inked beneath her breasts in honour of her grandmother is visible in the picture.
She hit headlines around the world last week when she was seen making out in a club with ex Chris Brown and attended a Jay-Z concert with him the night after.
A day later he was said to have left her hotel room in the early hours.
Brown split with his long-term girlfriend Karrueche some days earlier saying:
“I love Karrueche very much, but I don't want to see her hurt over my friendship with Rihanna.”
Rihanna and Brown split in 2009 after he was arrested and charged with assaulting her in a car after a pre Grammy party.
Chris and Rihanna exchanged a kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards in September and the same month she told Oprah that she will always love him.
Chris Brown recently showed off a new tattoo on his neck, which it is claimed resembles the picture of Rihanna after he attacked her in 2009.
