CELEBRITY couple Gerald Kean and Lisa Murphy have split.
The Irish Independent has learned the pair called off their three-year engagement and went their separate ways two weeks ago.
It comes just months after Lisa said they had agreed on a venue and a band for the big day – but not a date.
"I've been engaged three times – and I've never tried on a wedding dress," she said recently.
Reality star Murphy had been living with lawyer Kean in his Co Wicklow home, but moved out last week.
A source said Murphy was alternating between her parents' house and staying with friends, but is now living with her 'Dublin Housewives' co-star Jo Jordan.
"She's okay, she's being well looked after at the moment and is getting great support from her family," said the source. "She hasn't even thought about looking for her own place yet, she's just taking her time to think about everything."
Kean and Murphy had been dating for three years when they got engaged at Christmas 2009 at Residence private members' club, in Dublin.
In May 2011 masked raiders stole jewellery worth thousands of euro from their home, including Murphy's engagement ring.
The incident left the 41-year- old shaken, as she was threatened at knifepoint and tied up by the burglars.
Kean said the robbery set their plans for a wedding back and that he was concentrating on getting her a new engagement ring and ensuring that she felt comfortable in their home once again.
However rumours of a break-up surfaced in May 2012, when salon owner Murphy flew to New York without Kean.
It was said that their wedding was expected to take place in May, as part of TV3's 'Dublin Housewives'.
However, the occasion was put on ice when Kean explained that producers asked Murphy, but never informed him of their intention to film the occasion.
At the time, Murphy rubbished reports of any rift.
Both Murphy and Kean were unavailable to comment yesterday.
It was also revealed this week that broadcaster Kathryn Thomas split from her boyfriend of five years, Garda Enda Waters, in July.
A source informed the Irish Independent that the 'Operation Transformation' presenter kept the news a secret from her RTE colleagues.
Waters is now living in Swords, Co Dublin, with a friend, while 33-year-old Thomas remains in their previously shared home. A source close to the presenter insisted that they remain on good terms.
Thomas and Waters first met in 2006 while taking part in a charity cycle for Crumlin's Children Hospital.
Thomas declined to give any comment to the Irish Independent yesterday.
