American Idol judge Randy Jackson could be back on American Idol after all.
Randy, who has been on the show since it began in 2002, announced in May that he was leaving after 12 years to work on his business ventures.
Now it has been reported by Deadline that the singer and producer could be taking up a mentoring role on the next show, replacing music producer Jimmy Iovine who is leaving after three seasons.
The thirteenth season of American Idol starts in January next year.
Meanwhile, Us Weekly reports that Justin Bieber's manager, Scooter Braun, is in talks to join the judging panel.
