AMY Huberman enjoyed some puppy love as she met a rescued dog on the third birthday of an animal charity.

The mother-to-be met Phoebe the puppy as she joined Dogs Trust to celebrate its birthday at its Rehoming Centre in Finglas, north Dublin.

The trust has saved 5,500 abandoned dogs since 2009.

A busy month lies ahead for Huberman, who is gearing up for the launch of her second book 'I Wished For You', and will also begin filming for upcoming movie 'The Stag'.

The film is being billed as Ireland's answer to 'The Hangover'.

Huberman will play the bride and sources said producers will be able to "work around" her bump.

The movie has been co-written by John Butler, who worked with the actress on RTE's series 'Your Bad Self'.
