MUSICIAN Glen Hansard has visited the set of the musical 'Once', which is showing at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
He also posed for photographs with the show's main actors, Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cvitesic, who play the guy and girl at the centre of the story.
The production, which has won eight Tony Awards including Best New Musical, Best Book, and Best Director, is based on the 2006 film of the same name, which starred Hansard and Marketa Irglova.
It tells the story of an Irish man and an Eastern European woman who meet in Dublin.
Both are musicians, and their love affair is told through songs they write for one another in a traditional Irish pub.
Just as the film grew a cult following, the musical has drawn audiences to its simple story and charming melodies.
The music and lyrics are written by Hansard and Irglova who also wrote the score for the film. They won an Academy Award for the song 'Falling Slowly' and the production is directed by John Tiffany.
