It helps to be connected. Singer and model Pixie Geldof had some famous faces in the audience when she performed with her band Violet last night in London’s Mortons club.

Her father Bob and designer Henry Holland came to show their support for the 22-year-old who is dating the band’s drummer, George Barnett.

Pixie, who recently showed off a dramatic new cropped hair style, wore a slinky black dress for the gig, with a thigh high slit.

Her famous father, who was wearing a festive red jumper, looked impressed by her daughter’s performance. It’s seems that Pixie, who seemed delighted at her dad’s attendance, has more respect for her father’s musical cred than his other daughter Peaches, who reportedly banned her father from performing at her summer wedding to Thomas Cohen, opting for a DJ instead.

Pixie also posed for the photographers with longterm friend Henry Holland, whose H! By Henry Holland campaign she fronts.

Some of the other famous friends like Alexa Chung and DJ Nick Grimshaw did not attend Pixie’s gig in the exclusive Mayfair Club.

Also absent was One Direction’s Harry Styles. There had been recent speculation that Pixie had become another one of Harry’s conquest but it appears that the two are just friends.

The 1D heartthrob joined Pixie, her boyfriend George and Nick Grimshaw for dinner as soon as he dropped off his current girlfriend, Taylor Swift at Manchester airport for what Nick described as the “top roast dinners of all time”.
