Peaches Geldof gave birth on Wednesday to her second son, on what would have been her mum Paula Yates’ 54th birthday.
The second daughter of Bob Geldof, and her husband Scum rocker Tom Cohen, welcomed a boy they have named Phaedra, after her favourite album by the group Tangerine Dream, a German electronic band from the 1970s.
The couple also have a 12-month-old son Astala.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: ''They are absolutely over the moon about their new arrival. It all went smoothly and Peaches will be in hospital for a while to recuperate. Bob is absolutely over the moon -- the whole family are.
''They are particularly pleased about the significance of the date as it makes Peaches feel she is keeping her mum's memory alive.''
Peaches elected to give birth via caesarian section on April 24 and is said to have planned it in memory of her mum, who died from a heroin overdose in 2000 aged 41.
She reportedly wanted to give birth last year on the same date to honour her mum, but Astala arrived some days later.
The 24-year-old star's siblings, Fifi, 30, Pixie, 22, and half sister Tiger Lily, 16, have reportedly been close by at her hospital bedside since giving birth.
