PEACHES Geldof has experienced her first ever Seder Passover – an annual Jewish festival – in the company of her baby son Astala.

The 24-year-old daughter of Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof tweeted pictures of her family enjoying the annual feast.

Astala, her 11-month-old son with rocker husband Thomas Cohen, is pictured in a yarmulke or skull cap.

The Seder Passover is a moveable feast that falls in March or April – and Geldof, who is expecting her second child, admitted that while it was supposed to be celebrated last night, they did so on Sunday.

This was so the family could get together for an early meal.

"If not, we wouldn't have been able to start early enough for Astala to enjoy it," she said.

Meanwhile, her sister Pixie has admitted that her father wanted her to "get a degree" instead of following him into the music business.

But the 22-year-old has now taken the plunge as lead singer of her own band, Violet. "He would have preferred me to get a degree, but he's very supportive," she said.

Pixie conceded that the death of her mother from a heroin overdose was a story that "will never go away". "And I don't want it to. I'm proud of my family," she told Australian 'Women's Weekly' magazine.
