JUST as the controversy surrounding her VMA performance was beginning to subside, Miley Cyrus has again raised eye brows with her outfit choice.
The 20-year-old was performing at the iHeartradio festival in Las Vegas last night.
The singer stunned the audience when she appeared wearing a white net see-through top, with black tape covering her nipples.
The event had a special significance for the former Disney star, as she was introduced on stage by her idol Britney Spears.
Cyrus has spoken previously about how influential Spears was on her as she was growing up.
A duet featuring the duo will feature on the former Hannah Montana star’s new album, which is due to be released next month.
‘Bangerz’, which will be released on October 4th, will feature the song ‘SMS (Bangerz)’ with Spears.
On a recent appearance on the Alan Carr show the ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer said her VMA performance was based on previous Britney Spears performances on the show.
Spears courted controversy on several occasions at the VMAs.
She infamously kissed Madonna in 2003, while in 2001 during a performance of ‘Slave for You’ she danced with a real snake around her neck.
Spears recently defended Cyrus’ VMA performance, admitting that she did ‘controversial things’ during her previous performances.
“I remember that age when I was just transferring into my career and, like, doing more controversial things and the energy that you feel and all this chaos that goes on” she said.
