Niall's dad urges popstar to buy house in hometown
THE father of pop star Niall Horan wants his son to buy a house in his hometown, writes Ken Sweeney.
Bobby Horan said he would encourage the One Direction star to get a base in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, when the time is right.
"A lot of local kids have emigrated and sadly they won't be coming back. We're lucky Niall isn't one of them, because I want him to come back, and I'll encourage him to invest here," Mr Horan told the Irish Independent. However, the father-of-two denied rumours that his son, who became the first Irish person to have 10 million followers on Twitter this week, had already bought a property on the edge of the town.
"I can say it is absolutely untrue. The report about Niall buying a big house in LA is not true either. People need to remember Niall is only 19, and although he has a place in London, his career has a long way to run so he won't be buying a house in LA or Mullingar any time soon."
