Niall Horan joins the rich list – but U2 are still the kings
ONE Direction singer Niall Horan is already worth €5.9m. But he has a long way to go to catch up with U2 who recorded a combined wealth of €612m last year.
New figures show that Bono (52), Adam Clayton (53), The Edge (51), Larry Mullen (51) and manager Paul McGuinness (61) saw their wealth grow by €8m in the year. Their 360degree tour established them as the world's most successful touring band, grossing almost €529m.
Dancer Michael Flatley remains in seventh spot on €225m.
The 'Sunday Times' Rich List of Ireland and Britain's richest music millionaires shows that the five band members of One Direction earned €5.9m each.
The five are amongst the top earners aged under 30 but they are significantly behind singer Adele whose wealth now stands at €35m.
New entries to the list of music millionaires aged 30 and under include Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran who are each worth €5.9m.
