Mourinho can now truly claim to have Beano there, done that

FOOTBALL and music stars have joined the cast of classic Beano characters in the latest edition of the 'BeanoMAX' magazine.

The 'Football's Back' themed edition sees Chelsea and England football captain John Terry, and the rest of the Chelsea players, team up with Dennis the Menace and his dog Gnasher in a special storyline.

Dennis and Gnasher help John Terry out of trouble and are rewarded with an invitation to Stamford Bridge.

At the stadium, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho makes Dennis "the special one" by letting him help with the team's match day warm-up.

The Dundee-based magazine, which is on sale tomorrow, also features an interview with Terry.

In the same issue, The Kaiser Chiefs join Little Plum in Indian Country at a special rock festival called Tepee in the Park.

The group also demonstrate their soft spot for the comic in the cover design of their new single 'The Angry Mob', which is released on August 20.

It features the band as their Beano heroes in a specially commissioned scene drawn by Dennis the Menace artist Nigel Parkinson.

The monthly 'BeanoMAX' magazine, published by DC Thomson, was launched in February.

It is a glossy version of the Beano magazine, aimed at a slightly older market than the weekly Beano comic.
