More jet lag than jet set as Maggie Gyllenhaal touches down in Dublin with children in tow
LUGGING bags and with a baby strapped to her chest, Maggie Gyllenhaal proved she is a hands-on mother as well as a leading lady.
The Hollywood star touched down at Dublin Airport for a three-week stint of filming without the fuss that surrounds many Tinseltown actors.
The American actress, famous for roles in 'The Dark Knight' and 'Donnie Darko', is working alongside Michael Fassbender and Domhnall Gleeson in director Lenny Abrahamson's 'Frank'.
Shooting for the forthcoming €5m feature began in New Mexico and will continue in Ireland until February 15.
Gyllenhaal arrived yesterday morning from New York, accompanied by her two daughters and a nanny, who will remain with her while she is in town.
But Gyllenhaal (right) was keen to do much of the heavy lifting – carrying baby Gloria Ray (nine months) in a sling and pushing Ramona (6) in a buggy.
Wearing a practical chunky cardigan and a large pair of glasses, she looked like any other traveller hurrying through the arrivals hall.
Gyllenhaal's husband, actor Peter Sarsgaard, was not with her.
It is not yet known whether Gyllenhaal will attend next month's IFTAs, as her colleagues have been nominated for two awards.
