Lea Michele said Cory Monteith was the "best person" she knew in an interview given shortly before his death.
The Glee actress also told Marie Claire's Mexico edition that her real-life love and co-star made her feel "unstoppable" in the interview, which took place a month before Cory died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol, reported Just Jared.
She told the magazine: "It's more interesting having a relationship with someone you work with because we get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life. But he is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.
"It is important to have someone that supports you and encourages you, someone that makes you feel that you are unstoppable, that you can do anything in the world because you have him."
Lea, 26, also appears on the cover of the magazine.
According to E! News, Cory turned up to the hotel in Beverly Hills to watch her when she did the photo shoot.
Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America editor-in-chief Ariadne Grant said: "Cory showed up in great spirits and was very nice to everybody there; he even took pictures with whoever asked for it. He just asked for a Coke and stayed there watching the shooting until it was done. They were both very nice and obviously happy and in love."
The 31-year-old Canadian actor was found dead on July 13 in his Vancouver hotel room. An autopsy later revealed he died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol.
The Fox network and Glee producers have said that Glee will return for its fifth season a week later than planned following the death of the show's star, who played Finn Hudson. The show's autumn return, scheduled for September 19, has been moved to September 26.
