Mel Giedroyc has revealed that she once kissed Dermot O'Leary at a work party.
The TV presenter made the revelation in an episode of the Channel 4 panel show Would I Lie To You which she and Dermot were guests on.
In the programme where guests say something they have done and the other panellists have to guess if it is true or false, Mel said she once kissed someone taking part in the show.
After some worried looks from the other panellists, who included David Mitchell, Lee Mack, Matt Dawson and Josh Widdicombe as well as host Rob Brydon, Mel admitted it was Dermot.
Before she gave away the name, Mel said: "I don't know if they will remember. He's quite a lot younger than me.
"It was a works do. Everyone had been working very, very hard, it was a long series and it was the end of series party. It was a show back in the late 90s called Light Lunch and we were colleagues."
Mel told the surprised panel that it was in fact Dermot, with them guessing the story was a lie, but Mel confirmed it was true.
Under questioning from the others about whether Dermot, an audience researcher at the time, needed to keep it a secret Mel said: "You said at the time Dermot that you weren't in a relationship."
At the end of the round Rob asked Dermot if he could vouch for Mel's story and the X Factor host replied: "Everything Mel said is 100 per cent bona fide."
