The estranged wife of celebrity chef Marco Pierre White appeared in court charged with vandalising his car with a child's scooter.

Matilda Conejero, 47, allegedly damaged the Range Rover belonging to Marco Pierre White, 50, while it was parked outside his west London flat.

Mrs Conejero, who is known as Mati, is also accused of damaging a wall and door of the television chef’s home, during the alleged incident in May this year. She denies the charge.

The restaurateur has since begun a relationship with Emilia Fox, the 38 year-old Silent Witness star. They were pictured dining together at a restaurant last month.

Police charged his estranged wife after they were called to reports of a “disturbance” outside the chef’s home in Holland Park just before 8.30pm in May,

She was accompanied by her daughter during the short hearing ahead of her trial next month. She only spoke to confirm her name.

She wore a purple blouse, black trousers, black high heels and sunglasses despite the rainy weather. She has already pleaded not guilty to one count of criminal damage.

Mrs Conejero lives in a flat above a pizza restaurant, once owned by Pierre White in west London with their 10 year-old daughter.

Pierre White, the youngest chef ever to be given three Michelin stars who is said to be worth €30 million, remains married to his third wife, by whom he has three children. The other two children live with him.

She started divorce proceedings five years ago claiming her husband had been unfaithful. But while they later dropped their multi-million pound divorce amid mounting legal bills, the couple were never reconciled.

Fox, who separated last year from peace activist Jeremy Gilley, by whom she has a daughter Rose, aged one, is said to have known the chef for “years”.

Mrs Conejero, who remains on bail, declined to comment to reporters outside court.
