MaCaulay Culkin rep forced to deny ‘Home Alone’ star has become a heroin addict
THE agent of MaCaulay Culkin has denied that the once child star is now a heroin addict with a $6,000-a-month drug habit.
The actor, who is now 31-year-old, has according to a US report become addicted to heroin and the painkiller oxycodone, and spends most of his days in his New York ‘drug den’.
Culkin's publicist told the Daily Mail: “The report in the National Enquirer that Macaulay Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenics is not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious.”
Someone who claims to be close to actor told the magazine: “Mac is surrounding himself with junkies and lowlifes. It's a real tragedy.”
In February, The 31-year-old actor's publicist responded to entertainment site ETOnline, after it published a photo of the former Home Alone star looking gaunt.
"Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health," the spokesperson said at the time.
The website ran the photo with the headline: "Exclusive: Macaulay Culkin's Gaunt Photo."
The site said the photos were: "likely to spark concern for the actor's health."
