Lopez honour for humanitarian work

Jennifer Lopez has been honoured for her humanitarian work at the amfAR Inspiration Gala in New York.
Liza Minnelli, Uma Thurman and Iman were among the guests at the glamorous event at the Plaza Hotel, which included a silent auction in aid of the the foundation for Aids research and HIV prevention, and a performance by Call Me Maybe singer Carly Rae Jepsen.
J-Lo looked emotional as she accepted the Humanitarian Award in a sparkling midnight blue gown by Tom Ford.
Earlier in the evening she sold a date in a silent auction in aid of the non-profit organisation.
X-Men star Alan Cumming was presented with the Award of Courage by Liza Minnelli.
The actor came out as bisexual in 1998 and has since done extensive work for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights.
