Lopez back in Idol judge's seat
Jennifer Lopez is returning to the American Idol judging panel, her boyfriend Casper Smart has revealed.
The singer - who served as a judge on the TV singing contest in 2011 and 2012, has reportedly been in talks with bosses to return for several months.
Asked by E! News if J-Lo would be a judge on the 13th season of American Idol, Casper replied: "Yes."
The Hollywood Reporter previously reported Jennifer was expected to agree a deal imminently.
And host Ryan Seacrest teased: "We're going to announce the judges very, very soon and I think people will be excited about the names we'll have on the panel."
Country singer Keith Urban is the only judge returning from last year's panel. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj both announced they were leaving after one season, while original judge Randy Jackson revealed he is leaving after 12 years on the show.
US broadcaster Fox has declined to comment on Casper's remark.
