Liam Gallagher brands Mumford and Sons 'a gang of hippies who look like they've got nits'
THE former Oasis frontman said the band, who are currently number one have no style and says he prefers One Direction.
Gallagher reckons the folk-rockers - whose second album Babel debuted at No 1 in the UK and has been a huge success in the States - look like hippies.
"There's a lot of banjos. Everyone looks like they've got f***ing nits. And eat lentil soup with their sleeves rolled up. They all look like they live on the Heath," he told Q magazine.
"Everyone's f***ing Don McLean, far too many acoustic guitars, no style, they look like they shop at Oxfam."
As for One Direction, Liam said: "I like them. Fair play to them. I met them at the Olympics and their heads were up their a***s, but they're harmless."
The 40-year-old also denied that he will reunite with his brother Noel for the Oasis comeback tour, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of (What's The Story) Morning Glory?
"He'll be f***ing doing it on his own. Or with his f***ing High Flying Smurfs. The thought of going onstage with that idiot anyway and hanging out with his daft mates... not interested, mate," he said.
