The star of Sky Atlantic's Girls, is regretting allowing her bare breasts to be projected onto the big screen.
The Girls star celebrated the premiere of the second season of the comedy TV show in New York City earlier this week.
Three episodes from the new series were screened at The Skirball Cultural Center, with Lena’s character Hannah stripping off in them. She joked she didn’t think about the ramifications when she decided to air the scenes for guests.
“My boobs were never supposed to be seen on that big a screen,” she laughed to New York Post.
A group of A-list stars carried on the fun at an after-party held at exclusive venue Capitale. Among those in attendance were Jonah Hill, REM star Michael Stipe, designer Diane Von Furstenberg, actress Gabourey Sidibe, Solange Knowles and model Paulina Porizkova.
Lena was thrilled with the turn out and couldn’t believe she was the reason so many people were partying.
“The last season premiere was like my wedding, this season it’s like my funeral, but with less speeches,” she laughed.
Lena’s boyfriend fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff was on hand to offer the 26-year-old support. Although he has a busy career touring with the band, the pair’s relationship works as they both take their careers seriously.
“We work next to each other,” he laughed. “It’s our version of relaxing.”
Girls also stars Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet.
William H. Macy and his wife Felicity Huffman also attended the screening, although nearly didn’t get there in time. The pair had arranged to be picked up by a limousine, but an unknown man managed to convince the driver he was William and drive off in the car. He apparently spent the evening being ferried around New York City.
