Hurling superstar Lar Corbett and his new wife are jetting to Rome on honeymoon today.
The happy couple celebrated their nuptials until the early hours of Sunday morning with family and friends in their hometown of Thurles, Co Tipperary.
Corbett (31) is taking a break with his sweetheart, Elaine Gleeson, before he gets stuck into training for another season with the Tipperary hurlers.
Elaine's sister, Linda, revealed that the newlyweds were "looking forward" to honeymooning in Rome.
The couple tied the knot in the Cathedral of the Assumption in Thurles on Saturday, before throwing a reception for over 250 guests in the Anner Hotel.
Hurling fans who turned out to see their hero were wowed by Elaine, who wore a fitted white sequinned gown complete with a long train and floor-length veil for her big day.
The stunning brunette was driven to the church in a golden 1978 vintage Rolls-Royce before being walked down the aisle by her father, Paddy Gleeson.
Corbett, the 2010 hurler of the year, had been waiting patiently for his bride who was 30 minutes late. By the hurler's side to help him keep his cool were his best man, Tommy Maher, and groomsmen Ger 'Rodser' O'Grady and Tommy Collins.
When the bride and groom emerged from the cathedral following the ceremony, which lasted over an hour, Tipp hurlers, including this year's captain Paul Curran and teammates Eoin Kelly, Paudie Maher, Pa Bourke, Eamonn Corcoran and Micheal Webster, formed a guard of honour with their hurleys.
