Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom have separated, but neither has consulted their lawyer about divorce yet.
The 29-year-old reality TV star “effectively” split from her NBA-playing husband when he left the house last Wednesday, TMZ reports.
Odom left the house after he rejected an intervention by the Kardashian family. Khloe reportedly staged the intervention to help Lamar with his alleged drug addiction.
Nobody has been able to contact the NBA player for almost 72 hours.
The sports star has reportedly had a drug addiction for at least two years.
Wife and reality TV star Khloe was aware of her husband’s addiction and forced him to complete a three-week rehab stint last year.
According to sources, Odom returned to play for basketball team the Clippers last season but slipped back into his hardcore recreational drug use after his final game.
Khloe kept Lamar’s addiction secret from her entire family for most of their marriage and it is only recently the 29-year-old has turned to her mother Kris for advice.
On top of the drug use claims, Khloe is also convinced her husband has been cheating but the reality TV star is said to have her priorities straight.
Khloe's mission is to bring her husband home safe and help him with his addiction.
A source said, “Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage.”
The source added, “Khloe was a real trooper. She's been living a nightmare.”
If the couple file for divorce it should be a quick process as they both signed a prenuptial agreement arranged by Kardashian matriarch Kris when they married on September 27, 2009.
