Kathryn Thomas enjoyed a date night with her boyfriend, restaurateur Padraig McLoughlin, this weekend.

The Voice of Ireland presenter and her man were spotted dashing out of Vicar Street after the Big Music Week gig in aid of Barnardo's.

And Kathryn had concert chic perfected. The Carlow native looked classy in skin-tight leather leggings, a cosy loose-knit cardigan and a chunky gold necklace.

She finished off the look with nude platforms and an oversized bowling bag.

Padraig, who runs Hugo's restaurant on Baggot Street with his former wife, looked smart in blue jeans and a cashmere jumper.

It must have been a gig to remember, too, as Kathryn tweeted afterwards: "Great night. A huge thank you to all our acts and to everyone for supporting."

Kathryn and Padraig have been dating for several months. They were introduced by mutual friends earlier this year.

They initially kept things quiet before making their first appearance together at the People of the Year Awards -- although they entered the venue separately.

Broadcaster Kathryn later admitted that Padraig was still getting used to life in the limelight.

"You kind of try ad keep things under wraps until it's the right time for everyone. But it's out now and he's sort of getting used to it," she told The Herald.

But the couple seemed completely at ease in front of the cameras on Saturday night as they wrapped their arms around each other and smiled at the cameras.

Kathryn split from her partner of five years, Garda Enda Waters, last year. She said then: " Nobody wants to be single at 34."
