TV presenter Kathryn Thomas kept her split from long-term boyfriend Enda Waters secret for the last four months.
The couple, who had been together five years, split in July but the decision was mutual and Enda has now moved out of the home they shared together in Dublin.
A friend revealed: “They split up in July but have been trying to keep it quiet as both don’t want to make a fuss.
“They have gone their separate ways and Enda moved out of the home there were sharing together in Dublin when they realised it was the end.
The Voice of Ireland presenter is not letting the break-up get to her, according to a source.
A friend said: “For Kathryn, she’s now got over the split and isn’t dwelling on it too much – it’s something she doesn’t want to do.
“Instead, she’s thrown herself into work, after heading to the States on holiday. Kathryn has told close friends about it but doesn’t plan to date anytime soon.
“It’s all about work for her – she’s on top of the world with The Voice and Operation Transformation and is looking towards the UK as a way of boosting her career.
“Work is definitely her number one priority at the moment – not love.”
The couple first met at a charity ball in 2007 and became friends before getting together as a couple.
Back in April Kathryn admitted in an interview that while she was happy with her Garda boyfriend, they were not thinking of getting married.
She said: “I get the marriage question all the time, a lot of my friends are married now.
“I’ve been to a lot of weddings and I have a massive collection of bridesmaid dresses, always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
“Each to their own, I have an independent streak and I have a partner who accepts that, luckily.
“I’m always denying getting wed, but no, not yet, we are very happy as we are.”
