Kate Upton goes back to basics after zero gravity bikini shoot
Supermodel Kate Upton may be most famous for her bikini body, but she isn't afraid of paring it back for a natural look.
The 21-year-old model hit headlines once again when she posed in a gravity defying bikini shoot for the back cover of Sports Illustrated's 50th Anniversary cover issue.
But she wore a starkly different ensemble at an event for the magazine last night, sporting a rather conservative little black dress and embracing a minimal makeup look.
She pared her hair back in a loose bun and let her natural beauty shine through.
Having graced the covers of magazines such as US Vogue and Sports Illustrated, Kate is at the top of her game at the moment. In 2014 she plans to take some time to consider what she's achieved, something she didn't pay much attention to until a discussion with her mother recently.
"I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to this position. My mom actually told me last year that with all my success and the opportunities that I have come my way, I need to look up and enjoy what I have accomplished and not just keep moving forward," she explained.
"You can get caught up and keep going further and further and keep pushing yourself. I really needed to hear that so that I enjoy the moment and what I’ve accomplished. If I could tell something to my younger self, it would be to enjoy the climb.”
Although she's doing well career-wise, Kate gets attacks of the nerves before photoshoots. She enlists the help of her personal trainer to help her work off her anxiety but insists worrying about campaigns is a good thing as it shows how much she still cares.
