PRODUCTION on the fourth season of 'Love/Hate' has wrapped up and the award-winning cast are set to celebrate in fitting style.
The stars of RTE's TV phenomenon are planning to toast another successful stint tonight after completing filming this afternoon.
Several of the cast members are due to take on other projects in the coming weeks.
It will be an exceptionally quick turnaround for actor Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, who plays kingpin Nidge.
Following two intense months of shooting 'Love/Hate', the father of one will begin rehearsals for Mark O'Rowe's 'Howie and Rookie' on Monday.
Seen as the "perfect fit", Vaughan-Lawlor was enlisted by O'Rowe, the screenwriter of hit movie 'Intermission', to see his production return to the stage 13 years after its creation.
The Dubliner will take on the challenge of playing the two lead roles.
"We couldn't find anyone else who could do it as well as he can in both parts," O'Rowe told the Irish Independent.
Since playing Nidge in the gangland drama, Vaughan-Lawlor (35) has garnered a wide fan base among viewers, both at home and overseas.
He said he's hopeful that the drama will prove to be a hit with audiences in the UK, after being picked up by Channel 5.
"It will be interesting to see how it is received because it's so close to home here. Dublin is a small city and it is examining a culture or a life that is very visible in ways in Dublin. So, touch wood, it goes well," he said.
