American show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has undergone some changes recently with two key cast members leaving and now executives are apparently targeting the pretty blonde.

“They are going after Penny - in full force,” a source told RadarOnline.

“She would make a great addition to the cast because she’s gorgeous, glamorous and has this amazing over-the-top lifestyle.”

The popular show is in a period of transformation, with Adrienne Maloof announcing her departure and Camille Grammer also rumoured to be leaving.

Penny is apparently reluctant to join the show due to its reputation for causing trouble for the stars’ marriages.

“Penny is flattered to be asked, but she sees what the show has done to past Housewives’ marriages, friendships and family ties - so, even though Rod would be fully supportive of her if she did join, she has no intention of heading down that same route,” the insider continued.

“Penny really has no good reason to join the show - she’s happily married and has a very loving family life. She’s a successful photographer and has a great career in her own right, so she really wouldn’t really have anything to gain by signing up.”

Amid all the changes, it’s been reported producers are looking to axe many of the original cast members.

Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville and Lisa Vanderpump are currently the only Housewives who look like they have a future on the show.
