Inside Jennifer Aniston's Big Fat Greek Wedding

They’ve been our favourite friends for 20 years, but Courteney Cox won’t be playing the role of bridesmaid on Jennifer Aniston’s big day
It will be the celebrity wedding of the year: Jennifer Aniston marrying Justin Theroux. While the fiercely private actress is keeping her cards close to her chest when it comes to her upcoming nuptials, her bridal party is one thing we can lift the lid on. We expected Courteney Cox to play the best supporting bridesmaid on her pal's big day, but instead has been snubbed for late night chat show host Chelsea Handler and actress Emily Blunt, who are relatively new pals in comparison to her two-decade friendship with Cox.
It has been revealed that ahead of Jennifer’s upcoming wedding to Justin Theroux, she hasn’t asked her pal Courteney to be part of her bridal party as the mother-of-one has “too much on her plate”. An insider revealed to heat magazine: “Now that Jen is with Justin, things with Courteney are different. Jen wants to include some of her new pals and though she will attend the wedding, she thinks that Courteney may have too much on her plate. Jen thinks that Chelsea is brilliant. She’s the only friend who publicly defended her over Angelina Jolie getting together with her ex Brad Pitt in 2005, so there’s fierce loyalty there.”
Not to worry as their friendship is still firmly intact and the Scream star will certainly be attending the plush wedding, reportedly taking place in Greece. Jen was spotted checking out the Elounda Beach Hotel in Crete, where her father was born. The couple are reportedly planning to walk up the aisle in July in what will undoubtedly be the showbiz wedding of the year.
One thing is for certain, this won't be a glitzy €1m affair, like her 2001 wedding to Brad Pitt. Her future husband is famously laidback and is said to be insisting they keep the day as low-key as possible, originally hoping for an autumn ceremony in New York City. But like all things in Hollywood, things change. Now, both are said to love the idea of a "destination wedding" this summer. So do we.
