I’m loved-up with my new man and all set for college – Aisling Quinn

NIALL QUINN'S model daughter Aisling is looking good and feeling great.

And with good reason; the chatty model has aced her Leaving Cert, is looking forward to hitting the books and has a new man in her life.

“I have a new boyfriend,” she told the Herald. “He's called Ashley Duane – so we're Ash and Ashley – which is kind of funny.”

The 18-year-old has been dating her other half for a matter of months but says they've known each other for years.

“He's local from Kildare – we've known each other for years,” she said.

“We've been best friends for ages.

“We've only been going out since the start of the summer but I know him so well already it feels longer really.”

Ashley is currently studying Pharmacy in Trinity but spends plenty of time back in Kildare. “He's a brainy guy,” Aisling laughed.

This autumn, the slender brunette will start studying Business and Law in UCD.

Last year, Aisling decided to quit her studies in Economics and Sociology in Trinity. And she says it was the best decision she ever made.

“It was definitely the best thing I've ever done,” she said. “I'm glad I did it. The first time round I felt I didn't do enough – I didn't give it my all.”

“My result was a poor reflection of what I could have got. So I'm much happier with myself this time. Hopefully, I like college a bit more this time round. I think my parents would throw me out of

the house if I showed up and said I didn't like it,” she laughed.

After her exams, Aisling darted over to Marbella for some sun and sea. “I was away after the exams, I went to

Spain, near Marbella,” she said. “It was nice to have a break after all the study.”

Since she's returned, Aisling's been clocking up the modelling gigs. “I'm working away; I have a couple of jobs a week – once I start college that will slow down because study will take over. So we'll have to see how it goes.”

She may be in demand, but the modest model says she has no plans to follow in the footsteps of Hannah Devane or Louse O'Reilly and move to London.

“I don't think I would be able to really. I just don't think I'm that calibre. I'm happy to do it part time and to do my degree in college.”

Aisling has inherited her mother Gillian’s good looks and her soccer-star dad’s long limbs and says she practises Pilates to stay in shape. “It's the only form of exercise I do now. It hurts, you have to be mentally
