SINGER Taylor Swift has been on the receiving end of death threats from One Direction fans amid reports she is dating Harry Styles.

Last month it emerged the One Direction hunk and the country singer have rekindled their romance.

Jealous fans calling themselves Directioners took to Twitter to voice their anger, with some even threatening to kill 22-year-old Taylor.

“Harry is livid. He just wants to date who he wants without fans going into overdrive every time he’s linked to someone,” a friend of Harry’s told British magazine Star.

“He knows he gets a lot of attention from girls, but he’s fed up. He just wants to have a normal love life and feels bad for Taylor.”

Messages left by outraged fans included harrowing threats and vulgar language.

One user posted under the name of American Psycho serial killer Patrick Bateman.

“You’re a f**king ugly b***h. I want to stab you to death and play around with your blood (sic),” they fumed.

Another tweet by a different user simply read: “If u dating my harry, I kill u (sic).”

The two young stars met in March and enjoyed a brief romance before splitting and pursuing other relationships.

Taylor went on to date Conor Kennedy, while Harry started seeing model Emma Ostilly, but both couples eventually fizzled out.

But the romance between the teen stars appears to be fully back on and the couple were photographed together on a date at New York zoo over the weekend. Eager One Direction fans tweeted pics of the couple together.

Harry Styles previously dated TV presenter Caroline Flack, who was the target of One Direction fans bullying earlier this year.

She spoke in the summer of an article in a One Direction fan magazine, calling it: "one of the most hurtful things I’ve ever read".

Called a ‘Girl’s Guide to One Direction’, the piece portrayed her as a voodoo doll, and pointed out “crow's feet caused by old age”, and advising her to “date boys your age, not your shoe size”.

Pointing to her hair, the article says “Grandma Caroline’s dirty-blonde dye makes her straw-like do look like the ground at a petting zoo.”

Pointing at her hand, it says: “Note: Zero engagement rings. Because no one wants to be with her.”

Another bubble around the picture reads: “Caroline was born in 1979, which in China is known as the year of the goat. Big surprise – she looks like one!”

Styles sent a message to his fans on Twitter when he and Carolien called time on their relationship, asking them to leave her alone.

He wrote: "Please know I didn't 'dump' Caroline. This was a mutual decision. She is one of the kindest, sweetest people I know. Please respect that."

Flack was said to have been jeered by fans at a One Direction concert the week before.

Flack last year admitted to receiving death threats from One Direction fans. She told one reporter: “What’s hard for me to get my head around is people saying it’s disgusting. I keep thinking, ‘What have I done wrong?’ But I haven’t done anything wrong.”
