Kelly Brook’s ex has denied talking to a newspaper about the breakdown of their relationship and has vowed that he never will.

The model was said to be humiliated after her whirlwind romance with Gladiator David 'Tornado' McIntosh ended.

She split from her buff beau after dating for just 45 days because she believed he was using her for her fame.

McIntosh has insisted that quotes in a recent Daily Star article were taken from an interview a month ago.

He said he never wanted to speak about his relationship with the 34-year-old model to the media.

A spokesperson for the trainer said he has 'a lot of respect for Kelly' and vowed that he wouldn’t be speaking about their short relationship to the newspapers.

‘‘David didn't give the interview recently, he gave it a month ago. He never wanted to make any comment about their relationship. He wanted to give an interview about his fitness career,’’ the spokesperson told MailOnline.

After they split, the Gladiator star was quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying, ‘‘I thought we’d clicked. I didn’t ever want to jinx it by saying or doing too much.’’

‘‘I would’ve liked things to develop further because I do like her. I’ve always fancied her.

‘‘Media attention isn't a new thing. I’ve been doing a lot of modelling work in America myself, people know me out there,’’ he said.

McIntosh was allegedly alerted photographers of their whereabouts while the pair enjoyed a romantic holiday in the US.

However, he has denied using the model to raise his own profile, insisting that he has achieved his own level of success in the US.

‘‘He is popular in the US and has done lots of fashion shows. The newspaper wanted to talk about Kelly and he didn't want to and then the interview didn't go anywhere.

‘‘They've given the impression that it was done recently but he spoke to them a month ago. He'd never do that to someone he's in a relationship with,’’ the spokesperson added.

Brooks got annoyed at McIntosh's attempts to hog the limelight when they walked around in public together.

McIntosh won’t be dishing the dirt about their short dating stint, which saw the pair holiday together in Miami.

‘‘He's got a lot of respect for Kelly and didn't speak about Kelly in the interview in the first place. And he won't ever comment about their relationship.’’

Brook has since deleted him from her social media and appears to want no contact with him.

The pair met last month after meeting each other at a New Year's Eve party at her bar, the Steam and Rye, in London.

Brook is apparently back in touch with her ex-boyfriend Thom Evans who she dated for two years.
