Katie Holmes has revealed she is "open" to having more children.
The 34-year-old actress, who is mum to six-year-old daughter Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, admitted she would consider expanding her brood one day.
"I don't know. I'm open to it," she told Allure magazine.
Katie - whose divorce from Hollywood superstar Tom was finalised in July 2012 - also hinted that she could consider a change of career and follow in the footsteps of her father to become a lawyer.
"Well, my brother and father are attorneys, and we'll see. I like the practical thinking of attorneys," she said.
The former Dawson's Creek star has appeared on the Broadway stage in Dead Accounts. She is also attached to romantic comedy Responsible Adults with Chace Crawford, a big-screen adaptation of Anton Chekhov's play The Seagull and is reportedly co-writing and co-producing a film about a single mother called Molly.
"I was open to - well, to whoever wanted me. But it was always my goal to make it back to the stage," she said of her theatre role.
Katie hopes to pass on invaluable life lessons to her daughter.
"The beauty tip I will pass on to my daughter is to find happiness in everything. What makes me feel beautiful is being with my family and friends," she said.
"My role model for ageing gracefully is my mother and my grandmother, because my grandmother is 89 and she's really happy. She sings a lot and I think that's very graceful."
