Game Of Thrones star Kit Harington has revealed filming with a broken ankle was "tough".
The 26-year-old British actor, who plays Jon Snow in the hit medieval fantasy show, broke his ankle before shooting began on the third season.
"It was tough. There were times when it really did impinge upon filming but actually I thought it would be a lot worse. I did it two months prior to us starting and I thought I would need a body double for everything," he admitted at the launch of the new series in Los Angeles.
He continued: "I thought they would have to prop me up on things while I'm standing. By the time we got to filming, I was kind of walking again, and by the time we finished filming, I was running and was able to do the fight scenes. We just had to rejig a few things and then I could cope with it all."
Kit praised the casting of Ciaran Hinds as his screen nemesis Mance Rayder in the third series, saying: "Ciaran Hinds is one of our national treasures so working with him is brilliant."
Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) revealed he loves working with Charles Dance, who plays Lord Tywin Lannister.
"I love the man, he's a legend. I grew up watching him and I've always loved his work. He's perfect for that role and we have such a good time off set," he said.
And Emilia Clarke hinted there could be love for her character, Daenerys Targaryen, teasing: "There is a light smattering of romance for Daenerys this season. I mean, everything will pale in significance to Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa)."
The third season of Game Of Thrones kicks off on Sky Atlantic HD on April 1.
