US TV network NBC has renewed five of its dramas for next season, with two - the long-running Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago Fire made by producer Dick Wolf and his team.
Revolution, Parenthood and Grimm were also given the guarantee that they will go on for another year, with each being given a full-season order of 22 new episodes.
It is less than a month before US broadcast networks usually reveal next season's schedule to potential advertisers, but NBC's announcement gives makers of these series extra time to map out the stories going forward and to write scripts.
