Great Gatsby stars at NYC premiere
Carey Mulligan led a host of stars on the red carpet for The Great Gatsby's world premiere in New York.
Drive actress Carey, 27, who plays shallow socialite Daisy Buchanan in the adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald's novel, wore a strapless red Lanvin midi dress.
She was joined by co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher and Tobey Maguire at New York's Lincoln Centre where the film's world premiere was held.
Isla, 37, also looked stunning in a long black floral gown.
Both actresses have had a lot of praise for Leonardo's starring role as Jay Gatsby.
Carey told Access Hollywood: "Leo's fabulous in everything - he's one of the greatest actors of our generation.
"But he has gone further than you could ever have imagined with this character, and really made [Gatsby] so multi-dimensional, and so flawed and so vulnerable, and yet so macho and sexy - everything that you want in Gatsby."
The Great Gatsby is directed by Baz Luhrmann who worked with Leonardo 17 years ago on his adaptation of Romeo + Juliet.
Stars of the film's soundtrack also attended the premiere including music executive producer Jay-Z and Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine.
The Great Gatsby is released in cinemas on May 16.
