GIRLS Aloud star Nadine Coyle was forced to tweet an apology after inadvertently giving the Queen a wrong title..

The singer tweeted her excitement after a glamorous appearance at the Royal Variety Performance at London’s Albert Hall.

The girls wore stunning gold and black floor-length gowns to perform for the special guests as part of a star-studded line-up which also included One Direction, Kylie and Robbie Williams.

The Queen and Prince Philip then greeted the popstars backstage afterwards.

The Derry born singer and her bandmates looked delighted to meet the Royal couple. Nadine later tweeted that she had met “the Queen of England...and the Duke”.

“Great day,” she added.
