Gallagher: Action ramped up in show
Peter Gallagher has revealed his character will see a lot more action in the new season of spy drama Covert Affairs.
The 58-year-old New Yorker, who plays CIA director Arthur Campbell in the show opposite Coyote Ugly actress Piper Perabo's young CIA trainee, said his alter-ego is set to escape his usual office confines.
"The fourth season is going to be very exciting. We've been doing some very cool stuff. I'm going back to Toronto to shoot some more stuff and we were just in Washington DC shooting," he said at the SAG Foundation's Celebrity Golf Classic in Burbank, California.
"I actually get out of the office with a little something to do. I'm very careful getting in and out of cars, I don't know what's next," he added.
Peter revealed his character will get into all kinds of trouble as the season unfolds.
"I've got one foot in the dog house and I think I'm slowly dragging the other one in too. Who knows what is happening?"
The new season, which will air on Really in the Autumn, also features 24 star Gregory Itzin.
Famed for playing dastardly President Logan on the real-time drama, Gregory revealed his Covert Affairs character is just as awful.
"I play another nasty guy on that, he's irredeemably bad. They just called me and said would you like to play this guy. That seems to be my thing," he said.
The fourth season of Covert Affairs will premiere on US screens from July 16.
