The celebrity blogger has now claimed he fears for his life and the safety of his baby after being mobbed with death threats by the singer's fans.

Perez also posted a statement on his website denying claims he is stalking her by trying to rent an apartment in the same building where Gaga lives in New York.

The Applause singer went public with her feud after a fan claimed on Twitter they had seen Perez at her apartment.

Gaga tweeted: "STAY AWAY FROM ME + MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

She has since deleted the Tweet.

Perez responded in the statement titled "A Statement On Lady GaGa's Lies".

He said: "After a day of innocent house-hunting, I am devastated and my heart hurts that my former very good friend, a person I used to call my 'wifey' and travelled the world with, is making very public and very untrue allegations about me on Twitter. While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a 'stalker'.

He added: "I hope her fans stop sending me death threats, as the suggestion that I pose a danger to Lady Gaga is preposterous... Notwithstanding my feelings about our personal relationship, I do wish Lady Gaga happiness and continued success and I assure you my family house hunting has nothing to do with her."

The former friends' feud began earlier this year when Perez began slamming Gaga and her music.

In another tweet she has since deleted Gaga claimed: "Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident."
