Glee stars Mark Salling, Heather Morris, Amber Riley and Harry Shum Jr are all leaving the show, it has been reported.
The stars - who have all been in the show since it began - play bad boy Puck, ditzy cheerleader Brittany, soul queen Mercedes and dancer Mike.
According to TV Line they are bowing out as regulars from the hit musical show, but may make guest appearances in season five when it returns.
Dianna Agron, who plays prom queen Quinn, left the show last year but made three cameos in season four.
Series three saw Puck, Mercedes, Mike and Quinn all graduate from the high school where the show is set, along with classmates Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith), Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Santana (Naya Rivera).
Brittany was accepted into prestigious science college MIT at the end of season four.
Actress Heather, who plays the character, has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child in real life.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed guest stars Melissa Benoist (Marley), Jacob Artist (Jake), Becca Tobin (Kitty), Blake Jenner (Ryder) and Alex Newell (Unique) have been upgraded to series regulars for season five.
Since half the cast graduated at the end of season three, the action has been divided between Paramount studios in Hollywood, and New York where Rachel and Kurt went to pursue their careers on Broadway.
There have been rumours that production on the show may be moved full time to a studio based in New York.
