BROADCASTER Evanne Ni Chuilinn says she's found a happy balance juggling motherhood and work.
The RTE sportscaster looks better than ever pictured with her eight-month-old Seimi in a glamorous new photoshoot for 'VIP' magazine.
Kilkenny-born Ni Chuilinn said she and partner Brian Fitzsimons completely dote over their son. "(Seimi) is probably the most adored child I can think of. He's had loads of love and support and it's been great for us, what with him being our first baby. Brian has taken to fatherhood like a duck to water. We love being parents and it's a happy time, albeit a stressful one," she said.
The 30-year-old has been a familiar fixture at the national broadcaster for nearly 10 years, and returning from maternity leave has helped her relationship with her baby boy, she said.
"When you're at home with a baby, you tend to concentrate on them and their routine, but I think both Seimi and I have enjoyed a bit of independence since my return to work. I've gone back to the role I was in and I enjoy my job, so I can't complain."
She also spoke about her struggle with post-natal depression. "I was just crying, sobbing at the drop of a hat. If someone had said to me that I would be crying the week after I brought my new bundle of joy home, I wouldn't have believed them," she said.
"It wasn't until after that I realised lots of women go through this. It's all normal," she added.
