Eva Longoria has confirmed that she has found love with new man Ernesto Arguello.
The former Desperate Housewives actress was first linked to the entrepreneur and philanthropist a few months ago, but has now told People that although they were just friends then, they are an item now.
Eva, who was previously married to basketball player Tony Parker - said: "I think that's why our relationship is so special - we truly started as friends."
The 38-year-old star met Ernesto, 34, last year when he appeared on a reality TV show that she produced and soon afterwards they became close friends.
She joked that rumours about them being romantically involved might even have helped them to take their friendship up to the next level.
"I guess we have the press to thank for pushing us to see something we didn't see!" Eva laughed.
Eva split from sports star Tony in 2010 and their divorce was finalised in 2011. The actress then dated Eduardo Cruz, the brother of Hollywood star Penelope Cruz, and went on to have a brief romance with American football star Mark Sanchez.
