Sophie Ellis-Bextor is rehearsing a sentimental song for this weekend's Strictly Come Dancing - the tune from her first wedding dance.

The chart star, who dazzled the judges last weekend, will perform a samba to Lionel Richie's hit All Night Long in the BBC1 show on Saturday.

The singer - married to The Feeling's bass player Nick Jones - has become a new favourite to win the contest after her nimble Charleston which earned a nine from each of the judges.

Sophie said:" All Night Long is a very special song for me, it was the first dance at my wedding. Considering I married a musician, there was a lot of music on the day and I sang to him.

"It was playing on the radio when we first started going out. We actually choreographed a little routine (for the first dance) - we started shuffling then went into a 70's routine, John Travolta-esque. Then we grabbed people to join in," she said.

The next edition of Strictly is on at 6.30pm on Saturday.
