Dunbar missed at opening of 'Translations'

It saw a string of well known faces turn out to show their support, and leading the guests was President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina, with Joe Duffy, John Murray and Mary Wilson also in attendance.

Late RTé broadcaster Gerry Ryan's ex-wife Morah was one of the first to arrive, but a noticeable absentee was the main man himself.

Unfortunately, Adrian was unable to see his production of Friel's most famous play come to Dublin, as the My Left Foot star was "detained".

"It's a stressful time for him because he's moving house – so it's all about the moving vans for him at the moment," a cast member told The Diary.
