Downton stars among Mormon audience

Elizabeth McGovern stepped out for the opening night of The Book Of Mormon

Downton Abbey actresses Elizabeth McGovern and Laura Carmichael were among the stars who flocked to see award-winning musical The Book Of Mormon on it's official opening night in London's West End.

The comedy from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone won nine Tony awards and rave reviews on Broadway and is enjoying a sell-out run at the Prince of Wales Theatre in London.

Homeland star Damian Lewis, fresh from celebrating getting the Freedom of the City of London, was there with his actress wife Helen McCrory, as well as Thor star Tom Hiddleston.

Simon Le Bon attended with wife Yasmin, still sporting the impressive moustache he reportedly grew for charity initiative Movember last year, and has held on to as model Yasmin likes it so much.

Funnyman Graham Norton brought his partner along to see the show, and David Morrissey, Jimmy Carr and Trey and Matt themselves were also in the audience.

The musical is about a pair of young Mormon boys sent on a mission a long way from home.
