ACTRESS Lindsay Lohan has been arrested in New York City after police said she hit a woman during an argument.
And within hours she was also charged in California for a crash in June in which her Porsche slammed into a truck.
She later left a police station with a black jacket pulled over her head.
Lohan allegedly got into the fight with another woman at a nightclub. She struck the woman in the face with her hand, police said. The woman did not require medical attention.
In California, Lohan was charged with lying to police, reckless driving and willfully resisting or obstructing an officer in the performance of their duties.
That charge comes nearly six months after the actress crashed while on her way to a film set. She was taken to hospital but returned to the set of the film, 'Liz And Dick', a biopic of the life of Elizabeth Taylor, hours later.
The California case could trigger a probation violation for Lohan, who remains on informal probation in the state for a necklace theft.
A week after the accident, paramedics were summoned to Lohan's hotel room in an episode her publicist attributed to exhaustion and dehydration, and shooting on the film was briefly delayed.
