Divas are well known for their extravagant demands on tour – red toilet paper for Beyonce, 20 white kittens for Mariah, and now Susan Boyle has asked for Barry’s Tea bags on her rider for her Vegas shows.
The Scottish singer, who shot to fame as a contestant on TV show Britain's Got Talent, is about to secure a multi-million dolloar deal to play a series of dates in Vegas, and follow in the footsteps of Celine Dion and Elton John who have enjoyed lucrative residencies.
But unlike other divas who have played in Sin City and made extravagant demands, Susan only wants for her favourite drink to be supplied – Barry’s Tea.
According to one source: “Susan loves Barry Tea, which is an Irish tea that’s also really popular in Scotland. She doesn’t like American tea, so she brings her own supply of tea bags.”
“Las Vegas is one of the ultimate spots for a performer to play and a residency is a huge deal, but then Susan is a big star who’s sold more than 19 million albums," a source told British newspaper The Mirror.
Susan is no stranger to appearing on stage in Las Vegas. Last year, she performed alongside her idol Donny Osmond at the Flamingo Hotel.
Susan has famously remained down to earth since becoming one of the biggest stars in the music industry. She continues to live in her family home and shuns a luxury lifestyle despite an estimated personal fortune of £22 million.
