Charlie Sheen has gone to court with Denise Richards in a custody battle over his children.
The Anger Management star shares four-year-old twin boys Bob and Max with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
The children were taken out of her custody last week after she relapsed on drugs. Bob and Max were placed in the home of Charlie’s other former spouse Denise.
Charlie and Denise were due to appear in front of a judge in order to reach a decision about care for his sons, reports TMZ.
Denise is expected to have temporary custody of the two boys while Brooke gets help in rehab.
It is not clear whether child services and the courts will allow Brooke to resume care of her boys when she leaves a treatment facility.
Brooke has entered rehabilitation for help with her drug use on several occasions. She is at risk of having all custody rights over the boys stripped from her.
The youngsters were taken away on Thursday night after the Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services decided that Brooke’s dwelling was an "unsafe environment".
Brooke was believed to be missing after she left the UCLA Medical Center on Friday, however it was not clear where she was going.
Her family and friends were said to be “sick with worry. Her cell phone is off, and Brooke hasn’t spoken to her family in several days,” an insider told Radar Online.
The 35-year-old was classed as 5150 under the Californian Welfare Institutions Code. This means she was considered to be a danger to herself and others by a peace officer or clinician due to her unhinged mental state and was involuntarily confined.
